Still 60% to go on getting the Rav’s Torah completed

I just wrote a whole long thing here about the Rav’s Torah, but it disappeared….

***Donation links fixed now***

OK, let’s try again.

Long story short, the Rav’s Torah that is going to stop the war, and that is being written in the merit of protecting the soldiers still needs a big boost, to get finished.

They raised 40% of what’s required, and they did a siyum today for Sefer Bereishit, but there is still 60% to go.

20,000 ($5,500) pays for a section of Torah parchment – and get your names inscribed in the Rav’s personal Torah scroll.

5,000 pays for a page.

NEW UPDATE ON THE LINKS: USE THESE:

A parchment
A page
Anything smaller
==

Specify it’s for the Rav’s Torah Scroll in the comment box.

And I apologise for all the miniot around this – just goes to show what a big deal it is, spiritually.

==

BUT – you can also donate smaller amounts, and you can also donate something bigger in staged payments if you want.

It all helps.

It’s all needed.

====

People in Israel, especially parents with kids in the IDF, are literally starting to crack from all the stress and worry, that they will be the next ones to get the ‘knock on the door’, God forbid.

Some of these mothers haven’t slept for six months….

And the war is just going on and on and on.

We need so much rachamim to get this war finished, with no more Jewish blood spilt.

====

So, please gird your loins, and do your bit to get the war finished.

It all boils down to emunat Tzaddikim, and ‘damim‘ instead of ‘dam’ – money instead of blood.

May we just hear good news.

    Your post is still there, believe it or not, Rivka. I was just there and came from there directly to here.

      I sent your name on to the English speaking Gabbay, Haim, so he’ll know what it’s for – and also, the name you sent Molly.

      I have asked for updated links and BH will post them up here.

      There is literally one person doing about 90% of all this for Shuvu, there is no big, slick ‘fundraising machine’ behind all this, which is why it can be a little frustrating and full of miniot (obstacles).

      But so, so worthwhile, to be attached to the Rav, and the efforts to get this Sefer Torah ‘out there, even in a very modest way.

      It’s a very easy way of connecting to the Tzaddik of the generation, so please persevere and don’t give up!

      And I will post updated links up when I have them, but in the meantime, donate anyway and either email me or send me a comment here that I’ll delete with the name and other details you want me to pass on, and I’m happy to do that.

      (God knows who you are in any case…. but I know the reassurance in ‘this world’ is also nice.)

    I read that a Torah scroll is anywhere from 62 to 84 panels of parchment. If each parchment is $5,500 then the cost can run anywhere from $341,000 to $462,000 to complete all of the parchment pages of the Rav’s Torah. (Add in any other costs that I’m not aware of).

    I suggest advertising that we’ve raised X amount of money so far, and that our goal is to reach Y amount of money. And to weekly show monies raised as progress towards the goal. There is a psychological aspect to marketing.

    Just my two cents and I hope this helps. Shabbat Shalom!
