Shiur from 29th Tammuz after Tikkun Chatzot

The Turks [in the time of the Ottoman control over Eretz Yisrael] put every rabbi in prison.

The Alexander Rebbe came, the Tolna Rebbe came – everyone was put in jail. Give us 30 thousand grushim!!!

The Shelah was in prison, from the 11th of Elul until the eve of Rosh Hashana, and so, everyone is buried in Tiberius, because here [i.e. in Jerusalem] – it was impossible to be here.

The Pasha, the Governor, immediately he put the rabbanim into prison. Bring a redemption [and then I’ll free you.]

So this Allenby, he arrived with the book the Protocols of the Elders of Zion – they were distributing it.
