The height of ‘knowing’

Rebbe Nachman teaches us what is at the apex of ‘knowing’.

It’s when we know, that really?

We really know nothing.

If you are feeling puzzled and confused by everything that is going on – or not going on – around us right now, congratulations!

It means you a taking a giant step towards acquiring some real knowledge.

And the epitome of ‘real knowledge’ is to know:

We really know nothing.

====

Sadly, most ‘influencers’, most writers, most bloggers, most rabbis, most educators – they are mistakenly working out of the totally opposite paradigm.

Of pretending that they know EVERYTHING!!!!!

As our crazy world starts to reveal even more of its secrets, and as the ‘scum’ starts to float to the top of the water, as the flames boil below the pan, people who know EVERYTHING!!!!! are going to find what happens next increasingly difficult to comprehend, acknowledge – and react to, appropriately.

You can already see signs of the cognitive dissonance tipping people into madness, all over the place.

====

I would define ‘madness’ as been shown or exposed to new information, facts and knowledge that totally change the existing picture, or belief.

But continuing to hang on to the ‘old picture’, the ‘old belief’, regardless.

For people with a historical bent, what’s going on right now is the clearest example  you could have of ‘how did 6 million go to the slaughter, like sheep?’

I’m really praying we won’t be having that exact same discussion in another 70 years about the Jews of today.

====

Here’s the thing:

For as long as you keep an open mind, and stop arrogantly believing that you know EVERYTHING!!!!, it gets so much easier to assimilate and accept new information, and new facts.

You don’t have to ‘attack’ that information – or the people who are uncovering it – you just need to do your bit of the birur.

You just need to take a few moments to figure out things like:

  • Is this information coming from a credible source, or a source that is being ‘bribed’ or otherwise corrupted or paid, to present information to the public?
  • Is this information furthering any particular agenda – or stopping any particular agenda?
  • What are the vested interests, or biases, of the people presenting the information? Are they ‘pro’ or ‘anti’ authentic Judaism?
  • What are their financial ties?
  • CUI BONO – who benefits, from this information being ‘out there’? Who doesn’t benefit, and / or would feel threatened by it?

And then, you can also drill down to more prosaic stuff like, for example:

  • Are the quotations from written works and / or Torah sources even true and accurate?
  • Is anything being distorted, added in, or left out?
  • Is the person sharing the information reliable, or have they been wrong, repeatedly, about so many things before?
  • Is the person sharing the information really knowledgeable about the topic? How do you know that?

====

Birur-ing stuff like this is a full-time job.

It’s what honest academics (and that lost breed of real investigative journalists….) do all day long, for hours at a time.

And even after that whole, long process – you still can’t say that you KNOW EVERYTHING!!!!!

All a person can really say, is that they know a bit more than yesterday, about very specific subjects and topics.

====

It takes a lot of humility and intellectual honesty to admit I don’t know anything.

(If you have teenagers to raise, they do a great job of educating parents to understand I don’t know anything.)

Most ‘influencers’, educators, rabbis, whatevers, trying to get themselves noticed today, and their thoughts and opinions ‘out there’ tend to be below par even for a regular person, when it comes to humility and honesty.

Especially, when they built up a whole reputation off the back of apparently KNOWING EVERYTHING!!!!!

====

So, for the record: I know absolutely nothing, and I’m just sharing bits of interesting information here on the blog, that may or may not be building up into a much bigger picture of what may or may not really be happening in the world.

On that note, my mum sent me this strange article, from the ElderofZion blog HERE:

Today’s Turkish antisemitism: Two sets of Jews compete for total control of America

Apparently, the Turkish paper El Aziz wrote something about the Sabbatean Donmeh they claim took over Turkey under AtaTurk, 100 years ago.

Here’s some snippets:

Even in Turkey, where the overwhelming majority is Muslim, capital, media, politics, bureaucracy, judiciary, army, culture and art community, trade have been under the dominance of the Salonika Dönme Sabbatean Jewish Group for 100 years…..

What could be more natural than having Jewish names in Trump’s cabinet? So why is the Sabbatean Jewish community in Turkey opposing this natural development ?
Because the Jews in the USA are divided into two!
Globalist Zionists and Nationalist Zionists. Globalist Zionists want the establishment of the Greater Kingdom of Israel and for China to be the new superpower of the world. Nationalist Zionists, on the other hand, say that Israel is now a very heavy burden for them and an unnecessary burden that they carry on their backs, they want to get rid of it and they want the hegemony of the USA to continue.
The fight between the Globalist and Nationalist Zionists is now a fight to the death. The power and mind behind the Globalists is Israel; the power and mind behind the Nationalists is Turkey.
====

The ElderofZion blog is dismissing this out of hand as ‘nuts’.

Me?

I don’t know anything.

But I would for sure want to feel this claim out way more, before coming to such an emphatic view of what’s true.

The Sabbateans didn’t go away – they went underground.

We know this is true in our own community, too, where ‘ultra-orthodox’ (externally….) Sabbateans have been slugging it out with ‘secular-enlightened’ (externally….) Frankist-Mason-political zionists for over 250 years.

So while it’s a bizarre claim, on the face of it, it may well contain a kernel of truth.

====

But in the meantime – I know nothing.

And really?

Neither does anyone else.

(Except the True Tzaddikim like Rav Berland, and Rebbe Nachman.)

    This doesn’t sound nuts to me. Years, almost decades, ago, Vox Day was writing about the neocon (mainly Jewish) plan to abandon the American ship and segue to China. The thing is, China (wisely) rebuffed them.

    I can’t find any specific posts right now, but he referred to this plan many times over the years, with evidence in the public record.
