Rebbe Nachman on simplicity
A reader sent me this quote from Rabbenu on simplicity:
Tzaddik #414
SIMPLICITY:
“Someone once asked Rebbe Nachman:When I’m praying and I mention HaShem’s holy name, what profound thoughts, what deep intentions, should I have in mind?“Isn’t the simple meaning – God-enough for you?The Rebbe answered.

It kind of sums up so much of what went wrong with so many of the ‘big Torah learners’ and kabbalists of two centuries ago (and the rest….).
They got so caught up in how clever and intelligent and ‘knowledgeable’ and ‘enlightened’ they were – they forgot that the point is just to serve Hashem with simplicity.
This is is still so, so relevant for our days, our times, our issues.

It seems to me, a bunch of stuff is starting to ‘move’ behind the scenes again.
In the meantime, I’m taking a few days off the blog again, as I have a bunch of research to get on with.
BH, I’ll be back some time next week.
