Mila de shtuta

Strange to say, I am starting to feel some optimism again.

The Rav is still AWOL, I have no idea what is really going on, in a million ways, but in my dalet amot, things really feel like they are starting to look up.

No prayer is wasted, no ‘urge’ to make teshuva goes for naught.

I think there are a lot of us out there who have spent years and years going through quite a long, dark tunnel of ‘teshuva’ and ‘getting real’ and figuring out ‘God really runs the world, not us.’

Those people went into the tunnel first, many years ago, when everyone else was still partying and talking about their stocks and real estate investments and holidays.

And now – the first people into the tunnel, will be the first people coming out again.

If you spent the last few years getting real, working on acquiring some real emuna, getting close to the real tzaddikim like Rebbe Nachman and Rav Berland  – you are probably also starting to feel some glimmers of hope.

Even though you have no idea why, tachlis.

If you’ve spent the last few years mocking all this stuff, dissing Breslov, slagging off Rav Berland etc, pretending you are ‘perfect’ and the problems you have are just and only ever ‘everyone else’s fault’ – then,  you are probably really looking forward to some massive war to come and take you out of your self-made misery.

As someone who has been ‘geula watching’, if you can really call it that, for more than 20 years, it’s kinda interesting to see how the same old stuff just keeps getting regurgitated online.

Like, war, war, war!

Iran, Iran, Iran!

Despair, Despair, Despair!

Me personally?

I am in the mantra, or trying to be, of:

Hitbodedut, Hitbodedut, Hitbodedut!

Real teshuva, Real teshuva, Real teshuva!

Uman, Uman, Uman!

Sweetening decrees, Sweetening decrees, Sweetening decrees!

At this stage, that works for me WAY better than all these incessant ‘predictions’ from people who may, or may  not be, real tzaddikim.

If / when a war happens, we’ll know about it.

Here in Israel, we ALREADY had two years of ‘war’ – in case anybody forgot about that – and we ALREADY, apparently, ‘bombed Iran’.

Like, six months ago.

If you are in a ‘sweetening’ mindset, that is enough to satisfy the prophetic conditions laid down for geula, without any more death and destruction of Jews.

If you are not in a ‘sweetening’ mindset – your life probably sucks right now, and if you aren’t already chugging down the anti-anxiety meds, and having cardiac arrests, you probably will be soon…. lo alenu.

Rabbenu said that when geula comes, everyone would become Breslov.

That doesn’t mean dancing on vans and wearing a Na Nach kippa.

It means:

Hitbodedut, Hitbodedut, Hitbodedut!

Real teshuva, Real teshuva, Real teshuva!

Uman, Uman, Uman!

Sweetening decrees, Sweetening decrees, Sweetening decrees!

==

It means living life to the full, in a holy, happy way, not dragged down by ‘predictions’ and fearmongering, but also not burying your head in the sand and pretending yiyeh b’seder, without some serious individual teshuva.

I want to invite you dear reader, to make a real effort to ‘be Breslov’ now, and to not waste another second on engaging with all this war stuff.

If it happens – it happens.

And at least, you got to spend some happy, productive time in the meantime, while you could.

And if it doesn’t happen – then you didn’t waste more of your precious time and energy stressing over stuff that is totally out of your hands, anyway, and just designed to make people sick, depressed, despairing, and to take them far away from God.

And now, to the subject of this post – two things that both made me laugh.

This from Bardak:

And this ‘orange man’ joke that a reader sent me, that also made me chuckle:

Enjoy!
