It’s full of sharks – more comments from the Rav
Shiur 25th Nisan 5785 [continuation] to those learning Chumash Rashi
The sea is something very deep.
We were by the Yam Suf (Sea of Reeds)[1]. 1950 [metres deep], two kilometres. We travelled around 100 metres [into the sea] – it’s already two kilometres deep.

How did he get there? The sharks would have eaten him.
Now, a shark ate someone. Now, the rain didn’t fall, lots of fish died, so the sharks came to eat the dead fish. This was in the Hadera River.
Don’t immerse there, whoever goes to immerse [i.e. using the sea as a mikvah], you can immerse, perhaps, in Yitzhar, but not there. Not in the Hadera River, not in the Alexander River and not in the Tannim (crocodiles) River.
Once upon a time, it was full of crocodiles, now it’s full of sharks.
All the fish died. Now, if they continue to pump water from the Kinneret, the fish will die. Because the fish need a depth [of water], and need fresh [water]. So, the rain didn’t fall, so all the fish died.
They should have cleaned this out, and taken them out. In the meantime, they already announced the day before that it was dangerous.

One person went for a swim, the sharks swallowed him. They couldn’t find him.
Two sharks swallowed him, poor man. Maybe, they did a tikkun for him. It could be, that he entered Gan Eden. [But] we wanted him in this world!
We are ‘anti’ Gan Eden, we want people to continue to live.

Now on Simchat Torah, 1,500 people went straight to Gan Eden.
If they would have made teshuva, they would have been Rosh Yeshivas, they could have brought everyone back, made a yeshiva with a thousand students.

FOOTNOTE:
[1] The Rav is apparently talking about when the sea split for Am Yisrael, on the seventh day of Pesach.

“ Now on Simchat Torah, 1,500 people went straight to Gan Eden.”
Even tho many danced to a Buddha? How can that be explained? We know all 100% Jews have a pintele yid buried deep inside, and it does say that one who merits to live in Eretz Yisrael has “merit” and those who forfeit that merit are expelled, so……. But then we also have the concept of “Korbonos”……. It may be as complicated as the “shoah”.
Everyone who is killed for being a Jew, al kiddush Hashem, goes to Gan Eden.
