This is a very powerful shiur.

I read it over Shabbat, and a lot of what the Rav said hit me very hard. BH, I will translate as much of it as I can, this is the first installment.

Excerpt of shiur given on Iyar 2, 5785

הסבי עיניך מנגדי שהם הרהיבונ[1]

It’s enough that the Tzaddik prays.

If two people would have come to the Tziyon of Rabbenu, they would have nullified the Shoah – that awful decree. R’ Avraham Elimelech [of Karlin] travelled to Meron, the brother of R’ Yochanan.

He saw everything.

The moment that Hitler ascended to the government, he said it’s over, everything is lost.

You can read his whole story. R Yochanan of Karlin, the brother of Avraham Elimelech, told it, it was exactly on the 3rd of Shvat, that Hitler was elected to the government. He said: we are finished..

He [Hitler] said every day, I am going to kill the Jews.

They said, he’s just talking stam, don’t pay him any attention. [Hitler] said, I am not talking stam, chas v’shalom, I am not just talking. I am a serious man, a man with a backbone, a man with a vision, with principles. I am not stam, some human being.

They said, no, he’s just talking stam. Just ignore him, he went mad.

He said: I am not saying things, stam..

Every day, he said, I want peace, peace.

He was a peaceful man… He received the Nobel Peace Prize from the University of Princeton, he just talked about peace.

I want peace, peace, peace. Only peace!

He was a true man of peace, real peace, he wanted peace. ‘Esav’ is the gematria of ‘shalom’ (peace.)… He just talked about peace. Until today, still just talking about peace.

Now, Trump wants the Nobel Peace Prize.

He says, stop killing the terrorists, because Saudi Arabia wants to make peace. Everyone wants to make peace. There is not a single one who doesn’t want to make peace.

But, on condition that the Jews are liquidated. This is the first condition.

If you destroy the Jews, then you’ll have such amazing ‘peace’ in the world! You can’t imagine, what sort of peace there will be in the world! There will be such wonderful peace! And a man will be under his vine, and under his fig, and the leopard and the kid will lie down [together], and the lion, like the cow, will eat straw, and all the prophecies will be fulfilled.

Just – get the Jews out of here.

[And then] All of the prophecies of Isaiah [will be realised].

[Skipping a discussion about how the smallest mochin is on hod she be hod of the Omer – Lag BaOmer. The Rav then starts to discuss how the bones of the Tribe of Ephraim who left Egypt prematurely and were killed in the desert could still be seen at the time of the Exodus under Moshe Rabbenu.]

In Siberia, when the snow melts, you can seen 80 million bones [i.e. skeletal remains].

80 million bones, 80 million!

Stalin was not a shlemiel. He was was a good networker, with a lot of motivation, with dynamism. A person with principles, with a world-view. 80 million people, he destroyed, just like that, without anyone even knowing.

In June and July – now it’s June and July, now, June is already beginning, the snow is melting. You can see 80 million bones.

Here [between Egypt and Philistia] there was only 200,000 [Jews killed in the desert]. This is not 80 million, it’s possible to still deal with this. 200,000, it’s possible to manage this.

Where are the wells?

Miriam’s Well, this is in the Kinneret. So, we need to go to the Kinneret. Now, after the shiur, we will bring jugs, that will become filled up with fish. In Miriam’s Well, there were no [fish], but in the Kinneret, there are plenty of fish.

Now, they died in Hadera. There is Nahal Hadera, Nahal Taninim, Nahal Alexander – the sharks came and swallowed a man, the unfortunate. Three sharks fell upon one [man] – this is not just! This is against the law, this is against the Geneva Accords, it’s against the Oslo Accords.

It’s not possible, that three sharks could fall on one person, chas v’shalom, you can’t let this happen, you have to supervise things there, why did they make you a supervisor?! A man got torn to shreds, I have never heard of such a thing.

How is this possible? There is already an arrest warrant out for them, they are being summoned to the Hague, and there will be a trial there. They tore a human being to shreds, three against one. This is not realistic.

Hamishim came out of Egypt [i.e. one in five]. Nobody wanted to believe Moshe Rabbenu, only Shuvu Banim believed. Apart from Shuvu Banim, nobody else wanted to believe him. Are graves lacking in Egypt, [that you are taking us out] to die in the desert?! What are you doing to us, we told you there was another 190 years to go [until the Jews were meant to leave Egypt].

We told you! We told you everything!

So, this was the katnut d’katnut (smallest of smallest – referring back to Lag BaOmer).

This is always on the eve of the Shivi’i shel Pesach, on the fifth of the sefira [i.e. the fifth week of the counting of the Omer, hod.) Today, this falls out on Thursday / Friday, tomorrow, in the evening. We get to the smallest mochin (mindset).

We want to return to Egypt.

Come, let’s go back to Mitzrayim. It’s enough. It was good for us when we were slaves in Egypt – we will be slaves [again], but we will live! Here, we’re going to die.

They wanted to go to Egypt, they wanted to be slaves, they wanted to be ‘normal’ people.

And not to be ‘Shuvu Banim’, who said to leave.

No! We want to be normal people! What did you do to us?! Come, let us go back to Mitzrayim, and serve Egypt. It’s better to be enslaved to Egypt, we will be slaves – but we will stay alive! We will have families, we will have ten children, for each person. 60 children in each womb, 60.
