Devorah’s message

All the illnesses – because a person goes against the Tzaddik

‘Oro Meroz – Curse Meroz!’[1]

He brought 100 shofars, he excommunicated the residents of Meroz.

Here, it’s written that this was a city of four amot, because they didn’t come to help the Tzaddik, so he excommunicated them.

So [or, alternatively], Meroz was a ‘big man’, and there are those that say it was a star.

==

Back then, all the stars descended from shemayim to fight.

Whoever goes against the Tzaddik, and the stars descend upon him, even if he keeps a bit shomer eynayim – it doesn’t matter.

All the stars – the comets, they burn him, and his wife.

==

A person doesn’t know why he’s sick.

Because, he went against the Tzaddik!

All the illnesses that a person has, it’s because he goes against the Tzaddik, that he criticises without knowing anything at all, that he’s not something.

He stam becomes polluted in his thinking, if someone [else] goes against the Tzaddik, he becomes confused from this, and on the spot, he becomes an opponent.

All the illnesses are because people go against the Tzaddik.

“Because they didn’t come to help Hashem against the mighty.[2]

So, “’Curse Meroz,’ said the angel of Hashem.’[3]

The angel said this.

Devorah dafka apologised.

It’s not me, forgive me! I’m not involved in this!

Straight away, she tried to evade this. I’m not here for these types of things, I’m not!

What is this, ‘I’m not’? What is this?

Tell the truth!

“[They stopped living in unwalled towns in Israel, they stopped:] Until I, Devorah, arose; I arose as a mother in Israel.”[4]

“Give praise, give praise, O Devorah!”[5]

Tell the truth!

She already saw that the Shechina had departed from her, [so she tried to remedy that with]:

Give praise, give praise, O Devorah!

==

If a person doesn’t come to help the Tzaddik, then he’s cursed.

He needs to be aware of his own thoughts.
